“A COLLECTION OF POSTCARDS WRITTEN AND DESIGNED BY UK-BASED CREATIVES TO BE SENT ACROSS EUROPE AS A MEANS TO RECONNECT US POST EU REFERENDUM.” – explains the ME & EU project.
ME & EU is a collection of postcards designed by UK-based creatives in reaction to Brexit (the European referendum result of June 2016).
Since then, the project curated by designers Nathan Smith and Sam T Smith, has continued to grow thanks to many submissions from designers, creative agency and studios. The front side of each postcard represents a designed opinion on Brexit while the reverse a personal message like, for example: “You can take Britain out of Europe but you’ll never take the Europe out of Britain”.
Each postcard is designed to be sent “across Europe as a means to reconnect us post the EU referendum,” explains the website.
The postcards will be sent all over Europe on the official trigger date of Article 50 which Theresa May (Prime Minister of the United Kingdom) announced will take place on the 29 March 2017 and also just few days after the 60th anniversary of the Treaties of Rome – which were signed on 25th March 1957 by the six founding Member States, paving the way for the European Union that we know today.
“POSTCARDS WILL BE SENT ON THE OFFICIAL TRIGGER DATE OF ARTICLE 50. MAIL US TO BE INVOLVED: MAIL@MEANDEU.UK” – ME & EU
