In 1967, the English rock band The Troggs sang “Love is all around…”. You may not agree with it but if you think for a moment, every place in the world may mean “love” to someone, somehow; every little hidden corner in the world may remind someone of love. Some places are special, simply unique for us. A place of love can be home or faraway. It can be a tiny spot or a huge landscape. It can be a seat. It can be a secret. It can be strange. It can be a memory of somewhere in the world. It can be everywhere. Wherever.
Look for #aplaceoflove and share it with us! Use a word, a phrase, a picture, a video, a story. And – important – remember the hashtag #aplaceoflove. This way, we can publish it in our dedicated website page: #aplaceoflove. I C & U ? – CCTwitter: @CCTseecity
“Whenever I get gloomy with the state of the world, I think about the arrivals gate at Heathrow airport. General opinion starting to makes out that we live in a world of hatred and greed but I don’t see that. Seems to me that love is everywhere. Often it’s not particularly dignified or newsworthy but it’s always there: fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, old friends. When the planes hit the Twin Towers as far as I know none of the phone calls from people on board were messages of hate or revenge. They were all messages of love. If you look for it, I’ve got a sneaky feeling you’ll find that love actually is all around.“ – Love Actually (2003)
