I am a freelance illustrator who works from her cozy pretty studio in Singapore. I was born in Kolkata (then Calcutta) in 1980 and I started to draw not long after my birth. After my first children book, “The Friday Fair”, published by KATHA India, I illustrated 9 more books, 7 of them already published by publishers including Pratham Books & Room To Read. I am a pen & paper artist who enjoy drawing on sketchbooks & later digitise the drawings to colour them. Those who appreciate my artwork are fond of the bright colours, big eyes & shining smiles of the characters I enjoy drawing the most. My work has been exhibited in Rome and Singapore. And I have been featured by more than 30 international media outlets. As an art-for-change advocate, I have created an online movement “My Father illustrations” to promote girl child rights.
