If you are a creative and curious person or a team of two or three people, you will love to explore this territory by staying in a place of art and nature that is truly unique in the world: an artistic studio in the wood inside La Giunca sculpture park, one of the latest creations by sculptor Franca Frittelli and painter Ariberto Badaloni, founder artists of this contemporary art park in Tuscany (central Italy). What is La Giunca, the Sculpture park of Rosignano Marittimo? It’s one of the 18 art parks recognized by the Tuscany Region, a place of art and nature born in 2010 from the idea of sculptor Franca Frittelli to bring together her works in one open-air and open to the public place (which can be visited in the summer, from June to September). Located in front of number 49 on the green provincial road of La Giunca in Rosignano Marittimo (Livorno), today it houses among oaks, olive groves and fruit trees, over thirty sculptures in marble, resin, stone and wood, part of the artist’s production who also has her own workshop/atelier here. La Giunca is therefore a contemporary art park but even much more: during the summer, sculptor Franca Frittelli and painter Ariberto Badaloni organize cultural events of various kinds, from courses to conferences, from concerts to theatrical performances, always with maximum attention to gender studies and equality. And so art is here intertwined with nature but also with cultural entertainment and feminist activism, giving this meeting and discussion place a precious value for the whole territory and its community. Furthermore, since 2022, the Park has been offering the opportunity to experience inside this magical atmosphere of creative sharing at an artistic studio in the wood, created by the two founder artists to host and meet people and cultures from all over the world in a welcoming and fairy-tale work of art and nature. | Find out more:

What do we offer to the #CCTravellers? As always, hospitality in exchange for one story! Selected candidates, invited to La Giunca sculpture park in Rosignano Marittimo (Livorno – Tuscany), will be hosted for 5 days (4 nights) in the month of May 2023. The hospitality includes accommodation and Italian breakfast + welcome kit + logistical assistance if necessary (for those arriving by public transport) + dinner on the last evening together with Franca Frittelli and Ariberto Badaloni, founder artists of the Park.
How to participate:
- please, fill out and submit the online FORM that’s here below, on this page, and confirm your application with a contribution to our cultural association of 5 euros per person (if sent by February 3rd) or 10 euros per person (if sent after February 3rd and by March 3rd), to be made via PayPal to info@cct-seecity.com selecting the payment option to “friends and family” (without commission costs) or by bank transfer to CCT-SeeCity with IBAN IT49V0760102800001010823894 and BIC/SWIFT BPPIITRRXXX and subject “La Giunca 2023 – Name Surname” (note: if you apply in a team of two or three people, the Name Surname of the contact person who fills out the FORM is sufficient).
- if selected, you’ll be asked to confirm your participation within possibly five days of our communication via email; then you could independently organize your round trip to Rosignano Marittimo (Livorno, Tuscany); some logistical notes: the nearest airport is Pisa; the closest railway station is Rosignano; personal logistical assistance will be given to those who travel by public transport while those coming by car will get all the necessary information to easily reach the Park;
- the selected people (#CCTravellers) will be contacted by 10th March, announced here on our website by April 3rd and hosted in May 2023; the #CCTravellers will be asked to share the experience on their social media and/or blogs and then to tell it in one STORY (with text and/or photos and/or illustrations and/or videos) to be delivered via email/wetransfer to the editorial staff of CCT-SeeCity so that it will be published in the web guidezine www.cct-seecity.com by 3rd June 2023.
