Holly McKelvey
About Holly McKelvey
I’m a science explorer and illustrator! Let me clarify that: my academic background is in the sciences, specifically in geology and environmental sciences, and I am currently training in illustration & storytelling to work in visual science communication. That means drawing comics, illustrations, doodles, contributing to short animations and more, in order to communicate science topics – and more! That “more” includes my travels and adventures. I have moved around a lot (from California to Scotland to Costa Rica to France to Germany and now to Denmark), and like to document my adventures in the form of watercolours and comic panels. I especially like to look at how the places I visit are shaped by their local environmental and geological influences, and am currently working on a several-page comic on my experience of environment through place. I'm Kiel, Germany & Viborg, Denmark.

Piante di Palermo – una storia in maiolica

Holly McKelvey/ 1 maggio 2019 1 maggio 2019 /Leave a comment

PALERMO Una storia ispirata alla città e alla sua natura. E, in particolare, al Museo delle Maioliche – Stanze al Genio. Una bellissima opera d’arte realizzata dall’esploratrice scientifica ed illustratrice Holly McKelvey. #CCTravellers2018
