#AppenninoSenzaConfini

MONDO Covid-19 has also closed the Museums to the public but has released creativity and among the initiatives born on the web and social media for the “Cultural Resistance”, one in particular continues to entertain the world of Art, the challenge #BetweenArtAndQuarantine or – in Dutch, mother tongue of the project – #TussenKunstenQuarantaine.

NEW YORK The Statue of Liberty. Times Square. The Empire State Building. The Brooklyn Bridge. The yellow cabs. Today everyone photographs the “classics” and shares with the whole world the photos on social media. So, what happens when every day, all day and from multiple angles, these symbolic places are photographed by everyone? If we put together those images, photos and videos, we could see the whole (hi)story of a place. “Typologies of New York City” is a 57-second video made exactly in this way, using 1.272 photos of the city found on Instagram, selected and combined in a coherent animation by creative Sam Morrison (@SamTheCobra on social media).

PISTOIA is a city that more than others had fun over the centuries giving original, bizarre and extravagant names to its streets and alleys. For example: who knows the history of the white dog?! and who has ever noticed the bas-relief in stone that portrays, at the beginning of Via del Can Bianco, this curious local hero?! 🙂

#SomewhereAroundRome #SeeCity

PISTOIA in 2017 was the Italian Capital of Culture and @Igers_Pistoia during the year, through Instagram, has involved citizens and not in the photographic and social storytelling of the city, suggesting a new theme every fifteen days or rather a “photographic challenge”. On over 500 photographs collected, more than 80 have been selected and from tomorrow (27th February) they’ll be on display (until 10th March) in the atrium of the Palazzo Comunale (in Piazza del Duomo, 1). Among these, also some photos shared by the #CCTravellers2017!
